Agency Sued Artist for Hentais of Its Vtubers and Demanded $65,000 in Damages

Brave Group, the company that manages the VSPO! project, announced that it reached a legal settlement with an individual who produced and sold hentai illustrations involving its Vtubers. According to the company, the person published the images on platforms such as X, Pixiv, Discord, and Patreon, and also profited from the material. The agency’s policy explicitly prohibits the creation, distribution, and monetization of sexual content involving its talents.
Under the out-of-court agreement, the immediate removal of all hentai content was required. The individual also had to formally commit to not producing any new sexually explicit works, content that infringes copyright, or material that could defame the members of the group.

Initially, the company demanded 10 million yen in damages, an amount equivalent to around $65,000. However, part of the sum was waived on the condition that 4 million yen were paid immediately. According to Brave Group, the decision to reduce the amount considered the remorse shown by the accused, who issued a formal apology and voluntarily disclosed, under pressure, all revenue obtained from the illustrations.
Interestingly, documents indicate that the amount demanded exceeded the total revenue he allegedly earned from selling the images. Even so, the case serves as a warning to other creators who ignore the guidelines imposed by companies in the sector.

Brave Group stated that it will continue monitoring and taking action against those who violate VSPO!’s rules, especially in cases involving copyright infringement and the production of unauthorized adult illustrations. The company also revealed that other negotiations and legal actions are currently underway against users, websites, and even service providers hosting such content.
This is not the first time the company has taken this stance. In 2025, another artist was required to delete similar works and pay financial compensation.
