The project Valkyrie Tune: Synthesis of Souls is being led by Akihiro Ishihara, known for his work as director on the Idolmaster franchise and as a producer on Umamusume Pretty Derby. According to him, the goal is to deliver an authentic experience based on Japanese cultural elements, without making changes just to make it more accessible to overseas audiences.

According to Ishihara, even with a worldwide launch in mind, there is no reason to alter the original style of the work. He believes that by preserving its Japanese aesthetics intact, Valkyrie Tune will offer something new and different to players from other countries.

The game is a bishoujo visual novel featuring science fiction, romance, and suspense elements. The story follows Rei, a protagonist who awakens without memories in a futuristic city after a long period in cryogenic sleep. Upon waking, he meets six warriors known as TUNED, who wield special weapons and share a mysterious connection with him.

Throughout the narrative, players develop relationships with these characters while uncovering the secrets of the world around them. The goal is to create a strong emotional experience focused on the connection between the characters and the player.

The producer explained that Valkyrie Tune was designed for players who enjoy deep stories and philosophical themes, including questions about human emotions and identity. He also emphasized that the game aims to create an experience that transcends cultural and language barriers, allowing players from different countries to connect with the story.

Valkyrie Tune will launch with support for multiple languages, including Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean. The release of Valkyrie Tune is scheduled for July 2026, with versions for PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch. In addition, a free demo version will be released before launch.
