Manga Artist Reveals How He Plans His Adult Manga and It’s Amazing

Have you ever wondered how adult manga artists plan their stories and page layouts? Manga artist Asakawa shared photos on his Twitter profile revealing the behind-the-scenes planning process for his adult manga Natsu no Yari Naoshi, a series that currently has four published volumes.
In the first images, we can see what appear to be detailed storyboards, including dialogue placement and notes about what will happen on each page of the manga.

In another photo, Asakawa shows the full outline of the story, all handwritten. The pages are filled with notes, structure ideas, and plot planning that highlight the amount of preparation involved before the final manga pages are drawn.

Just looking at these planning sheets makes it clear how much dedication and organization goes into creating an adult manga series.
Natsu no Yari Naoshi follows the story of a young man who becomes involved with two sisters, Suiren and Aoi. From what I remember when reading the first volume, the protagonist is in love with the long-haired sister.

However, the short-haired sister also has feelings for him and actively pursues him early in the story. This creates a complicated romantic situation that drives much of the plot’s tension and development.
It has been quite some time since I read the first volume, so some details may not be perfectly accurate, but the series left a strong impression due to its character dynamics and storytelling.
