Hentai Artist Kosuke Haruhito Was Approached by “Can I Follow You Home?” but the Crew Left Without Filming

How about a very interesting story experienced by hentai artist Kosuke Haruhito? This happened in 2022, and unfortunately, we never got to see his house at the time.
There is a Japanese TV program called Can I Follow You Home?, which, in a literal translation, means exactly that. The show consists of the TV staff approaching people on the street and, with their consent, asking if they can follow them home and film their lives. This format has produced many memorable episodes.
This exact situation happened to hentai artist Kosuke Haruhito in 2022. The encounter took place when he was returning home after drinking in Yokohama. He was approached by a member of the show’s staff, who explained the concept and asked if he would agree to be followed home while being interviewed. As part of the show’s format, the staff offers to pay for the taxi ride in exchange for permission to film.

Kosuke explained that he initially did not want to show his face, since the program would obviously reveal that he is a hentai mangaka. After talking with the staff, he eventually agreed to show his face. However, the crew noticed that he still seemed hesitant. Instead of pushing him, the staff member decided to cancel the filming, saying he did not have to participate if he was not completely comfortable.

When the taxi arrived at his home, the staff paid for the ride and simply left, making sure Kosuke got home safely. The hentai artist said he felt guilty afterward and started thinking about how many times the program staff must have paid for taxi rides without being able to film anything.
This experience made him realize how difficult the staff’s job really is. His story led many people to praise the ethical behavior of the program’s team. Many fans commented that this kind of attitude helps explain why the show has maintained its positive reputation and remained on air for so many years.

Above, you can see images showing how the program works, including an episode where a woman agreed to be filmed and allowed the crew into her home. One particularly viral episode happened in 2017, when the staff visited a 43-year-old man whose house was filled with Dragon Quest merchandise.
He revealed that his wife had left him and taken their daughter, and he believed she left because of his obsession with Dragon Quest.
